Martin Wong - Chief Executive Officer

With more than 25 years of legal experience, Martin Wong joined Think Finance in April 2013. His role oversees Think Finance's compliance with all state and federal laws, as well as ensures the company has the most clear, transparent and fair products in the industry. Before his role at Think Finance, Martin held general counsel and chief compliance positions at Citigroup, Western Union Company and the Cigna Corporation. Martin graduated with a Bachelor of Public Administration degree from Loyola University-New Orleans when he was 18 years old, and he also holds a JD from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

When not in the office, Martin tries hard to reduce his golf handicap and perfect his backhand topspin in tennis.

Chris Lutes — Chief Financial Officer

Chris Lutes brings almost two decades of finance experience to Think Finance. Before joining Think Finance, Chris was CFO of Silicon Valley Bank, a $4 billion dollar commercial bank focused on venture capital backed technology and life sciences companies. In addition to Silicon Valley Bank, Chris has been the CFO at several companies in the technology and financial services sectors. He began his career with Coopers & Lybrand after graduating from Arizona State University with a degree in accounting.

Outside of work, Chris is a die-hard sports fan and ASU season ticket holder and often argues that the Pac 12 is the best conference in college football.

Bill Kontgis — Chief Operating Officer

Bill Kontgis has over 20 years of leadership experience in the Financial Services industry; and has held a number of executive level positions at major corporations such as CountryWide Bank, Digital Insight, and First Nationwide Bank. Prior to joining Think Finance in September 2011, Bill was CIO at Green Dot, a leader in the Prepaid Debit Card industry, where he led the IT organization. As COO of Think Finance Bill is responsible for all IT including development, technology operations, security, quality assurance, and IT strategic planning. Bill graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.

In his spare time, Bill enjoys hiking with his two Australian Shepherds, Mick and Murphy, reading Tolkien-like fiction, and is a sports enthusiast. He follows all sports including international soccer, basketball (the Lakers are his favorite), baseball and college football—he remains a loyal Utah fan.

Michelle Nguyen — Chief Product Officer

Michelle Nguyen came to Think Finance in 2006 and is responsible for all aspects of Product Management, Risk and Marketing. Simply put, she ensures that all the products and services built are centered on solving the most important needs: the consumers'. She believes in fostering a fun work environment for her team; whether that be a Nerf ambush or decorating a co-workers office with live fish, Michelle blends hard work with a dash of play. Prior to becoming a Thinker, Michelle has held leadership positions in product, marketing and finance that included a range of industries from telecom to financial software to start-ups. Michelle graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelors in Business Administration in Finance and Organization Behaviour as well as holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Michelle describes herself as an original foodie and says her favorite food is bacon-before it was cool. She loves restaurants of all calibers, and watches Food Network regularly. Luckily for her family, she also loves to cook.

Carrie Carbone — General Counsel

Carrie E. Carbone joined Think Finance in 2011 as Associate General Counsel. As General Counsel, Carrie is now responsible for corporate matters and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company's third-party lender services operations, as well as supporting government affairs and compliance efforts.  Prior to her time with Think, Carrie represented depository financial institutions, primarily in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and general bank regulatory matters, and consumer lenders on federal and state law matters. Carrie graduated from The Ohio State University with degrees in psychology and marketing and earned her J.D. at Boston University School of Law.  Carrie is admitted to practice law in Texas, Ohio and Massachusetts.

Carrie spends most of her free time trying to keep up with her 4 year old son, her 3 dogs and her husband's busy travel schedule.
