June 25, 2012
NEW YORK - August 23, 2012 - Think Finance, a developer of next-generation financial products that help people manage life's everyday expenses, announced today that CEO Ken Rees received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award for the Southwest Area North region during a gala at the Hyatt Regency Dallas in Dallas, Texas on June 23rd. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Mr. Rees was selected for the award by an independent panel of judges consisting of previous award winners, CEOs, private capital investors and other business leaders.
Inc. magazine named Think Finance, a developer of next-generation financial products, the second highest ranked financial services company with revenues over $200 million on its sixth annual Inc. 500|5000. The list, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies, represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America's independent entrepreneurs.
"We are thrilled to be named to the Inc. 5000 list for the third consecutive year," said Ken Rees, Chief Executive Officer of Think Finance. "Over our eleven year history, Think Finance has continuously grown at an impressive rate, adding employees and rolling out innovative products for the financially underserved. Thanks to our vast experience in the market coupled with the industry's best technology and risk management platforms, we look forward to continuing that trend by achieving another year of significant growth in 2013."
In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2012 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains an impressive 97 percent. The companies on this year's list report having created over 400,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $299 billion.
Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/5000.
"Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500/5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward. Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is," says Inc. Editor Eric Schurenberg.
